28 Agosto: DIY Skatepool, Ensenada

Our DIYs are about an hour South of San Diego &Tijuana and were created by women and built with awesome local skater crews. Both locations have BBQs, camping and/or AirBNB options available and both are on dirt roads best traveled in cars with higher clearance.
- Baja Surf & Skate is in the hills above the coastal village of La Misión. The location includes a crazy homemade cement skate pool with rock features, hips, homemade coping and two roll ins, plus a wood mini-ramp halfpipe. @bajasurfnskate on IG
- DIY Skatepool Ensenada is in the mountains overlooking Ensenada Bay, and features a shaded kidney pool with a shallow end and deep end, lovely hips, a tombstone extension, fancy new homemade coping and pool tile, plus cement mini-ramp halfpipes. @diyskatepool_ens on IG

This map has a stop between in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja’s historic wine country (which has a LOT of airBNB options and is about halfway between our places). You can skip that stop and shave a half hour or so off, if you already have your sleeping situation figured out.
